Batman: The Animated Series (shortened Batman:TAS or BTAS), is a two time Emmy Award winning animated series adaptation of the comic book series created by Bob Kane featuring DC Comics superhero Batman.

The visuals of the series are based on the artwork of Bruce Timm. The original episodes aired on Fox Network from 1992 to 1995. The first season lacked an onscreen title, but was officially named Batman: The Animated Series as shown in advertisements for the series. In its third season, the series was renamed The Adventures of Batman & Robin.
